They bought over 200 kg of firecrackers from Quang Binh and brought them to Nghe An to sell during Tet.
(Baonghean.vn) - Dung and Kien bought 235 kg of firecrackers and hid them in the cabin and under the trailer, intending to bring them home and store them until Tet (Lunar New Year) to sell for profit.
On August 9th, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Nghia Dan District Police announced that they have initiated criminal proceedings against Tran Viet Dung (born in 1986, residing in Nghia Dan town) and Truong Trung Kien (born in 1986, residing in Nghia Binh commune, Nghia Dan district) for the crime of trading prohibited goods.
Earlier, at around 2:20 AM on July 30th, a task force from the Nghia Dan District Police, while patrolling and monitoring security and order on inter-communal road 48D1 through Nghia Loc commune, Nghia Dan district, spotted a vehicle with license plate 37C-168.56 towing a trailer with license plate 37R-003.90 exhibiting suspicious behavior.

Upon inspecting the vehicle, police discovered 156 bags of firecrackers (each containing 36 firecrackers) weighing 235 kg.
All the fireworks were hidden by the suspects in the truck's cab and under the trailer. To evade law enforcement, the driver repeatedly stopped and parked in various locations along the route.
The driver was Tran Viet Dung (born in 1986), residing in Tan Tho Hamlet, Nghia Dan town, and the assistant driver was Truong Trung Kien (born in 1986), residing in Binh Thai hamlet, Nghia Binh commune, Nghia Dan district.

At the police station, Dung and Kien confessed that they had purchased the fireworks in Quang Binh province and were transporting them to their private residences, after which they planned to divide them into smaller quantities and sell them during Tet to make a profit.
The case is currently being investigated and handled by the Nghia Dan District Police.
