(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 7th, before the Math exam, Vinh City and many other localities throughout the province were unexpectedly hit by a heavy rain accompanied by strong winds. Although many roads were flooded, this rain was truly a "golden" rain, helping to cool down the candidates after weeks of continuous hot weather.

Due to heavy rain, many parents braved the weather to bring their children to the exam center at Huynh Thuc Khang High School earlier than usual, fearing traffic congestion. Youth union members and police officers were stationed there, holding umbrellas to shield candidates from the rain, receiving dropped-off items, and escorting students to the exam rooms. Because of the high volume of traffic in front of the gate, traffic police worked hard to manage traffic flow and ensure security and order.

Candidate Le Anh Tuan, who arrived at the exam site about an hour before the exam started, shared: “Seeing that it was raining, my mother and I left early to avoid traffic jams and to prevent being late for the exam. This afternoon I have the Math exam, which is also an important subject for university admission, so I'm quite nervous. I will try my best to do well on my part of the exam within the hour and a half.”

Candidate Pham Hoang Linh Dan, a student from Nguyen Truong To High School, said: "I'm taking the D-block exam and my only option is to use my high school graduation exam scores for university admission, so I'm really worried. I stayed up almost all night last night. I did quite well on the Literature exam this morning, so I just hope the afternoon exam will be easier. My aspiration is to get into the Sociology or Journalism major at Da Nang University."

Among the nearly 900 candidates taking the exam at Huynh Thuc Khang High School, 120 were students from Hong Lam Vocational School of Economics and Technology (Vinh City). To provide the best possible conditions for them, the school contracted two buses to transport students to and from the exam site each day.

Having accompanied students through many exam seasons, teacher Nguyen Thi Hong said, "Most of the students at our school are taking the exam just to get their graduation certificate, but some academically strong students are taking it to get into university. I feel nervous while the students are taking the exam, so I'll wait here until they finish, ready to assist if needed."
