According to the indictment of the Nghia Dan District People's Procuracy: On the afternoon of August 30, 2016, Nguyen Van Tuan drove a Waves motorbike with license plate 37H1 – 135.58 to the Bai Tranh intersection area in Nhu Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province, to buy drugs for personal use.

The suspect is Nguyen Van Tuan.

Nguyen Van Tuan bought two packets of heroin from a stranger for 200,000 dong. One packet, wrapped in a white plastic bag, was placed in his right front trouser pocket. The other packet, wrapped in a blue plastic bag, was held in his right hand as he drove back to Quy Hop district to find a place to use it.

While passing through Lang Be hamlet, Nghia Yen commune, Nghia Dan district, he was stopped and apprehended by Nghia Dan district police, who seized 2 packets of heroin weighing 0.59 grams, with a purity of 45.5%.

At the trial, considering that the defendant Nguyen Van Tuan honestly confessed his guilt, the Trial Panel, applying Clause 1, Article 194 of the Penal Code, sentenced Nguyen Van Tuan to 15 months in prison.
