Vietnam Futsal's Goal in Japan
Head coach Bruno Garcia has revealed three goals of the Vietnam Futsal team during their training trip to Japan to prepare for the 2016 Futsal World Cup finals next September.
The Vietnam Futsal team arrived in Nagoya (capital of Aichi Prefecture) at 7am yesterday morning. The team was arranged by the Japan Football Federation to stay at the luxurious Hilton Arena Nagoya hotel. Immediately after checking in, the Vietnam Futsal team had a light training session at the Ocean Arena training ground.
Sharing about the team's training spirit, Mr. Bruno smiled: "I am very satisfied with the spirit of the whole team. After a very long trip that took place at midnight, the players still showed a serious training spirit on the training ground. This is very important because it is the key to shaping the playing style as well as the appearance of the team. We can only play well when the spirit is good."

Revealing the goal of Vietnam Futsal in the training trip to Japan, the Spanish strategist said: "Coming to this training trip to Japan, the Vietnam Futsal team has many goals to achieve. Firstly, we will have the opportunity to compete and gain experience with the top teams in Asia while being in the campaign to prepare for the 2016 World Cup."
“Secondly, for various reasons, the squad for the Japan trip this time only has eight players who played at the 2016 Asian Championship in Uzbekistan. That is no different than the team having almost half of its lineup replaced. However, I think it will also be an opportunity for other players to have a chance to show their talent in the national team.”
“Last but not least, I want the players to get used to the intensity of continuous competition. Specifically, when the first phase of the National Championship has just ended, the players must immediately join the national team. This is something that countries with developed futsal often do, but in Vietnam it will not be easy because we have only had a professional tournament for a short time.”
Today, the Vietnam Futsal team will continue training before having two friendly matches with Japan (April 22) and Uzbekistan (April 23).
