Vietnam's Futsal Team's Goals in Japan

April 21, 2016 16:59

Head coach Bruno Garcia has revealed three goals for the Vietnamese Futsal team during their training camp in Japan in preparation for the 2016 Futsal World Cup finals in September.

The Vietnamese Futsal team arrived in Nagoya (the capital of Aichi Prefecture) at 7:00 AM yesterday. The team was accommodated at the luxurious Hilton Arena Nagoya hotel by the Japan Football Association. Immediately after checking in, the Vietnamese Futsal team had a light training session at the Ocean Arena.

Sharing his thoughts on the team's training spirit, Bruno smiled and said, "I am very pleased with the team's morale. After a very long journey that took place in the middle of the night, the players still showed a serious training spirit on the field. This is very important because it is key to shaping the team's playing style and overall image. We can only play well when our morale is high."

Revealing the goals of the Vietnamese Futsal team during their training camp in Japan, the Spanish strategist said: “Coming to this training camp in Japan, the Vietnamese Futsal team has many goals to achieve. Firstly, we will gain experience by competing against top teams in Asia as part of our preparation for the 2016 World Cup.”

"Secondly, for various reasons, the squad for this trip to Japan only includes eight players who competed in the 2016 Asian Championship in Uzbekistan. This is equivalent to almost half the team being replaced. However, I believe this will also be an opportunity for other players to showcase their abilities in the national team."

“Last but not least, I want the players to get used to the intensity of continuous competition. Specifically, as soon as the first phase of the National Championship ends, the players must immediately join the national team training camp. This is something that countries with developed futsal programs usually do, but it won't be easy in Vietnam because we only recently had a professional league.”

Today, the Vietnamese Futsal team will continue training before playing two friendly matches against Japan (April 22) and Uzbekistan (April 23).
