'Ceiling' of university entrance fee in 2017 is 30,000 VND
The maximum fee for candidates applying for university and college of education based on the results of the national high school exam is 30,000 VND/preference (applied to all preferences).
The above regulation is from a document of the Ministry of Education and Training. This Ministry explains: according to current regulations, the fees for university and college entrance exams in 2017 will have to switch to a market price mechanism.

Particularly for schools that carry out preliminary selection procedures, organize competency assessment exams or have aptitude tests combined with the use of national high school exam results (special training institutions) and schools that consider admission based on high school academic results are responsible for establishing a price for admission services that is appropriate to the actual costs, reasonable and valid for admission work.
The Ministry requires that the fees of these schools must be calculated to ensure psychological stability for parents and students, avoiding disruption during the 2017 exam.
Schools must post prices, publicly disclose the prices of admission services and must not charge more than the listed prices, and publicly disclose information on service fees and prices according to the provisions of the Law on Prices and other relevant current legal provisions on price management.
Regarding the expenses for the staff and lecturers of universities and colleges mobilized by the Ministry of Education and Training to their localities to participate in organizing the national high school exam, the local budget will be responsible for paying according to the correct regimes. In addition, universities and colleges can also support additional travel and accommodation expenses for staff and lecturers of the unit during the performance of their duties from the unit's legal revenue sources.
