On August 18th, the Department of Performing Arts sent a document to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports requesting cooperation in inspecting the operation and circulation of programs and performances on telecommunication networks.

The Department requested the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports to strengthen inspection and supervision work, and to disseminate legal regulations to units, organizations, and individuals through various means.

In case of detecting violations (audio and video recordings with unapproved content, content contrary to social moral standards, contrary to Vietnamese customs and traditions), strict measures must be taken in accordance with Clause 2, Article 1 of Decree No. 15/2016/ND-CP amending and supplementing Decree No. 79/2012/ND-CP on performing arts, fashion shows; beauty and model contests; circulation and business of audio and video recordings of music, dance, and theatrical performances.

Specifically, the document states that the Department has received information regarding "singer Nguyen Huong Giang (Huong Giang Idol) organizing the filming and release of a music video with the theme 'I Don't Regret - 18+' with content and images that are contrary to social moral values ​​and standards, Vietnamese customs and traditions, and scheduled for release on August 24, 2016."

The Department requests the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports to examine the legal basis for the dissemination and circulation of the aforementioned video recording and to take measures to prevent and handle it in accordance with the regulations in Decree No. 15/2016/ND-CP.
