The U.S. Department of Justice has officially released a list of over 300 individuals appearing in the files of "pedophile billionaire" Jeffrey Epstein. Alongside names that have shaken the entertainment and political worlds, U.S. officials have also provided important explanations regarding the nature of the documents to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings about the relationship between these individuals and Epstein.

The agency released nearly 3.5 million documents (many of which had sensitive information redacted), along with over 2,000 videos and 180,000 images, in compliance with the Epstein Records Transparency Act. According to Fox News and TASS on February 16, this list was included in a letter sent by Attorney General Pam Bondi to the leaders of the Senate and House Judiciary Committees. This move is aimed at fulfilling her commitment to fully disclose all investigative documents in the sensational sex scandal that rocked the United States.

In the letter, Pam Bondi asserted that the Department of Justice had publicly released all "records, documents, communications and investigative materials" across nine different categories, including data on human trafficking and cover-ups of crimes.

The head of the U.S. Department of Justice emphasized: "No records are withheld or redacted for reasons of embarrassment, reputational damage, or political sensitivity, including those concerning any government official, public figure, or foreign official."

The recently released list features a host of prominent figures from various fields. Notable among them are Prince Harry of England, reality TV star and businesswoman Kim Kardashian, music legend Bruce Springsteen, and the late artist Kurt Cobain.

The fact that these names appeared in the same file as sex offender Jeffrey Epstein immediately sparked intense debate in the international media.

However, to avoid public misinterpretation, Reuters and Politico quoted US Department of Justice officials clarifying the nature of this list. Accordingly, the list includes any "politically influential figures" (PEPs) or celebrities mentioned in the dossier, even if they had no interaction with Jeffrey Epstein or his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.

Specifically, their names might only appear in "edited articles," news reports, or public documents that Epstein kept at his home.

This crucial detail explains why the late artist Kurt Cobain (who passed away in 1994) was included in the investigation focusing on Epstein's criminal activities between 2002 and 2005. Being on the list does not necessarily mean these individuals were "clients" or accomplices of the billionaire.

Jeffrey Epstein was arrested in July 2019 on charges of running a child sex trafficking ring in New York and Florida between 2002 and 2005. The youngest victim in the case was only 14 years old.

Epstein's network of relationships was described as incredibly complex, encompassing numerous former heads of state, billionaires, and leading artists. The criminal case closed after Epstein committed suicide in his prison cell in August 2019, but the secrets contained within his archives continue to send shockwaves through the American elite each time they are revealed.
