US prepares secret list of sanctions against Russian citizens

(Baonghean.vn)- On December 18, Russia's Izvestia newspaper quoted a close source as saying that Washington is creating a secret list of Russian citizens to warn European partners not to contact.

The list is part of a package of sanctions against Russia that the US plans to pass in February 2018.

Izvestia, citing its own sources, said the list will include hundreds of Russian citizens, including businessmen, activists, and winners of Russian state awards. The list will be distributed only to US allies and partners in Europe. They will not be subject to sanctions, but will be considered European “no-go” targets.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Interim Committee of the Federation Council (the Upper House) of Russia on protecting national sovereignty and preventing interference in internal affairs, Mr. Andrey Klimov, said that Russia has begun preparing measures to respond to the US's actions./.
