(Baonghean.vn) - On September 8, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced a large-scale military aid package worth over $2 billion for Ukraine and other European countries due to concerns about the threat from Russia.

According to Secretary of State Blinken, the Joe Biden administration will provide $2 billion in long-term military aid to Ukraine and 18 neighboring countries, including NATO members and regional security partners, which are "most at risk from future Russian aggression."

This aid package is part of the Foreign Military Financing (FMF) program, in addition to the $675 million direct aid package for Ukraine announced earlier that day by US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.

Thus, the United States has provided a total of $15.2 billion in aid to Ukraine since the Biden administration took office. US officials say these new commitments demonstrate Washington's unwavering support for Kyiv.
