He also declined to comment on the bill recently submitted to Congress that would require any sanctions to be lifted only if Congress approves it.

Previously, a group of US Senators introduced a bill that would give Congress the power to veto any resolution passed by the administration of US President Donald Trump to lift sanctions against Russia.

The bill was initiated by Senators Lindsey Graham and Ben Cardin; John McCain, Marco Rubio, and several other Senators also supported it.
