US reveals number of remaining ATACMS missiles of Ukraine
The New York Times said Ukraine has several dozen ATACMS missiles and no new reinforcements.

According to RIA Novosti on December 28, the New York Times quoted US officials as saying that the Ukrainian Armed Forces only had a few dozen ATACMS missiles at the time they were allowed to attack deep into Russian territory, and had no opportunity to increase the number later.
“At that time, Ukraine had only “a few dozen missiles” left — perhaps about 50. And there was no chance of acquiring more missiles, which the United States has very limited and must allocate for deployment in the Middle East and Asia,” the New York Times said.
In addition, the publication adds, US long-range missiles cannot influence the course of the war in Ukraine. ATACMS repeats the fate of HIMARS MLRS, F-16 fighters and other Western weapons that Ukraine requested aid.
“No weapon is a silver bullet,” summarized the New York Times.
In mid-November 2024, US President Joe Biden authorized Ukraine to use long-range US missiles to strike deep into Russian territory. Britain and France also granted similar permission for their Storm Shadow and SCALP missiles.
In response to the attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on targets in the Kursk and Bryansk regions with ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles, Russia tested one of its newest hypersonic medium-range missile systems - Oreshnik.
US President-elect Donald Trump called Mr. Biden's decision a mistake and vowed to cancel it after taking office.
