The US is seeking to develop a 'Yellow Dome' defense system.
According to sources, the White House will spare no expense to implement one of the Pentagon's top priorities set by US President Donald Trump.

TASS reported on March 23, citing CNN's own sources, that US military officials are rushing to develop a defense system called "Golden Dome" to protect the country from long-range missile attacks.
According to sources, the White House will spare no expense to implement one of the Pentagon's top priorities set by US President Donald Trump.
However, one source noted that, "currently, the Golden Dome is really just an idea."
According to this person, the current discussions remain purely theoretical. This makes predicting future costs almost impossible, even though building and maintaining this system could cost billions of dollars.
Nevertheless, CNN, citing sources, reported that the Trump administration has ordered military officials to ensure funding for the "Golden Dome" will be reflected in new budget estimates from 2026 to 2030.
The channel emphasized that such a project, in Trump's view – which would protect America in the same way the "Iron Dome" system protects Israel – is strategically "unthinkable."
"Israel is very small," a source familiar with discussions about the "Golden Dome" project emphasized, adding: "Therefore, it is entirely possible to cover Israel with radar systems and a combination of mobile and fixed interceptors."
"But how do you do that in the U.S.? You can't just deploy them at the border and coast, because intercontinental ballistic missiles could re-enter the atmosphere right over Kansas," CNN quoted the source as saying.
On January 28, by executive order, President Trump ordered U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to submit a reference structure and deployment plan for a missile defense system within 60 days.
