US: Troops deployed in Charlotte after two nights of violence.

(Baonghean.vn) - After two consecutive nights of violence starting on September 21st, which police described as an "illegal protest," the state of Charlotte is likely to face a third night of riots.

Protesters took to the streets of the North Carolina city for the third consecutive night to protest the shooting death of a 43-year-old Black man named Keith Lamont Scott by a U.S. police officer.

Subsequently, US police refused to release the video footage of the incident to the public, although they did allow Scott's family to view it.

The protests turned violent on the night of September 21st after witnesses reported hearing gunshots and one individual was taken to the hospital. The victim later died from their injuries.

Police said this was a case between two individuals who had a dispute. The victim was identified as Justin Carr, 26 years old.

Currently, the mayor of Charlotte has signed an order establishing a statewide midnight curfew. In addition, the U.S. National Guard has been mobilized to prepare for the worst-case scenarios.
