Are the US and its allies about to attack Syria in the next few hours?

The US military is reportedly ready and just waiting for orders from President Trump.

According to the Daily Star, information about the possibility of a US attack on Syria emerged after commentator Danny Makki mentioned the presence of US aircraft in the skies over Syria and Iraq.

"A large number of American fighter jets have appeared on the Syrian-Iraqi border. Everyone in Damascus is holding their breath, waiting for the possibility of an American airstrike."

Eurocontrol, the European Union's (EU) air traffic control agency, warned aircraft in the region to be on alert for the possibility of a surprise attack.

British and French military forces could also launch air-to-ground missiles or cruise missiles to demonstrate their support for their US ally.

Syrian soldiers are present at the site where a chemical weapons attack targeting civilians is alleged to have occurred.

British fighter jets can take off from an airfield in Cyprus, while Rafale fighters are ready to take off from St Dizier base in France, sources said.

Syrian television quoted an unnamed US official as saying "everything is ready" for an attack on Syria.

Fighter jets, warships, and cruise missiles are ready and awaiting orders from US President Donald Trump. "Trump's order could be given at any time," the Israeli television channel reported.

Meanwhile, Russia warned that any military action against Syria by the US and the West would lead to "serious consequences."

The destroyer USS Donald Cook, equipped with Tomahawk cruise missiles, is now off the coast of Syria and ready to strike at any time.

Russia and Syria are believed to have activated their air defense systems 24/7 and are ready to respond to any attack by the US and its allies.
