USA: Tornadoes accompanied by hailstorms appear.

(Baonghean.vn) - The US National Weather Service (NWS) reported on April 27 that a major storm had caused five tornadoes accompanied by heavy rain and lightning in four states: Texas, Indiana, Kansas, and Missouri. This extreme weather phenomenon may have occurred in Oklahoma, but the NWS has not yet confirmed this information.

CNN also reported that lightning strikes occurred frequently, with approximately 11,000 recorded from Kansas to Dallas. In addition, there were over 180 reported cases of damage caused by hailstorms.

In Kansas, the meteorological agency in Wichita reported hailstones that began falling on the night of April 26 (local time), with hailstones larger than golf balls.

The strongest winds during this tornado outbreak could reach 80 meters per hour and are showing signs of weakening.

Earlier, on the night of April 26 (local time), tornado warnings were issued in Oklahoma and Texas, while tornadoes appeared in Kansas and Kentucky.

A flash flood warning was also issued in Kansas City early on the morning of April 27 (local time).

Harry Trottier, director of the McIntosh County Emergency Management Agency, said a tornado struck the town of Checotah, Oklahoma. He also said there were no reports of casualties so far, but the storm caused a relatively large gas leak.

Severe tornadoes were reported in Bloomington, Indiana, and Vanderburgh County. There have been no reports of casualties so far, but fallen trees have been observed in these areas.

At Cincinnati Airport in Ohio, Leah Wilmington Airlines was forced to delay flights due to bad weather. In Oklahoma, schools were also forced to close due to weather concerns.
