Shooting and killing people in broad daylight.
Many residents heard a loud explosion coming from a house on Nguyen Thi Nho Street, Ward 4, District 11 (Ho Chi Minh City). When two young men came out, residents discovered that the homeowner had been shot dead.
The shooting occurred at 1:15 PM on January 8th at a house that also serves as a shop selling specialties from Soc Trang and Ben Tre (specifically Pia cakes, located at 230 Nguyen Thi Nho Street, Ward 4, District 11). By nightfall, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department's investigative units were still coordinating with the District 11 Police to conduct the examination, investigation, and pursuit of the perpetrators.

At the aforementioned time, many residents living in Ward 4, District 11 heard several loud explosions coming from house number 230 on Nguyen Thi Nho Street. Instinctively, people turned to look and saw two young men running out of the house, jumping onto a motorbike, and speeding away.
When people rushed to the house to check, they discovered the homeowner had died. Residents raised the alarm and reported the incident to the authorities.
Initial investigations by the police identified the victim as Mr. Nguyen Tri T (born in 1971), the owner of a specialty shop in Soc Trang and Ben Tre. It is known that Mr. T and his wife had rented the house at 230 Nguyen Thi Nho Street to run their shop for about 10 years. They have two young children.
Witnesses said the two suspects entered the house about five minutes before the incident occurred. Notably, when leaving the scene, the two young men appeared very calm, and residents saw them leaving on an AirBlade motorbike.
On the night of January 8th, Colonel Nguyen Sy Quang, Head of the Staff Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Police, confirmed that the incident was a shooting, resulting in one death, and that the police are currently investigating. Colonel Quang added that the police have not yet determined the true motive, but it is likely a case of resolving a personal conflict, rather than a robbery.
