(Baonghean.vn) - According to information from Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company - Vinamilk, in 2016, the Vietnam Grow Tall Milk Fund founded by this Company will give 40,000 children in difficult circumstances in 40 provinces and cities across the country a quantity of milk worth 22.5 billion VND.
On May 8, 2016, at Ninh Xuan Primary School, Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh Province, the Vietnam Grow Tall Milk Fund held a ceremony to donate milk to children in Ninh Binh Province. This was the first stop in the 2016 milk donation journey of the Vietnam Grow Tall Milk Fund, in celebration of Vinamilk's 40th founding anniversary (1976-2016).

2016 marks the 40th anniversary of Vinamilk's establishment and development. Therefore, Vinamilk and the Vietnam Grow Milk Fund decided to donate milk to 40,000 poor children in 40 disadvantaged provinces and cities across the country with a total value of 22.5 billion VND. All of this milk will be transferred directly by the Vietnam Children's Fund and Vinamilk to orphanage centers, disabled children, social protection centers, preschool and primary school students in remote areas in 40 provinces and cities for the children to use continuously for 3 months. Thus, up to 2016, the total amount of milk that the Vietnam Grow Milk Fund has brought to more than 373,000 disadvantaged children in Vietnam in nearly 9 years of operation is nearly 30 million glasses of milk, equivalent to about 120 billion VND.

The Vietnam Grow Tall Milk Fund was established in 2008, under the chairmanship of the Vietnam Children's Fund - Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs in coordination with Vinamilk. The Vietnam Grow Tall Milk Fund was established with the aim of reaching out to disadvantaged children across the country, with a seemingly simple but extremely practical action - giving them nutritious glasses of milk to help them have the opportunity to develop more comprehensively in terms of physical and mental health for a brighter future. That is the very humane goal that Vinamilk always aims for.
