(Baonghean.vn) - According to information from Vinamilk Joint Stock Company, in 2016, the "Vietnam's Rising Milk Fund," established by the company, will donate milk worth 22.5 billion VND to 40,000 disadvantaged children in 40 provinces and cities nationwide.
On May 8, 2016, at Ninh Xuan Primary School in Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh Province, the Vietnam Rising Milk Fund held a ceremony to donate milk to children in Ninh Binh Province. This was the first stop on the 2016 milk donation journey of the Vietnam Rising Milk Fund, commemorating the 40th anniversary of Vinamilk's founding (1976-2016).

In this program, students had the opportunity to meet, chat, and play fun games with the program's ambassadors, comedians Xuan Bac and Tu Long. Previously, in 2015, Vinamilk also organized a ceremony to directly distribute milk to underprivileged children in Lam Dong, Ben Tre, Nghe An, and other provinces.
2016 marked the 40th anniversary of Vinamilk's establishment and development. Therefore, Vinamilk and the Vietnam Rising Milk Fund decided to donate milk to 40,000 underprivileged children in 40 disadvantaged provinces and cities nationwide, with a total value of 22.5 billion VND. All of this milk will be directly distributed by the Vietnam Children's Protection Fund and Vinamilk to orphanages, centers for disabled children, social welfare centers, and preschool and primary school students in remote areas across these 40 provinces and cities, ensuring the children have enough milk for three months. Thus, by 2016, the Vietnam Rising Milk Fund had provided nearly 30 million glasses of milk to over 373,000 disadvantaged children in Vietnam over its nearly nine years of operation, equivalent to approximately 120 billion VND.

The Vietnam Rising Milk Fund was established in 2008, under the auspices of the Vietnam Children's Protection Fund - Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, in collaboration with Vinamilk. The Vietnam Rising Milk Fund aims to support disadvantaged children nationwide through a seemingly simple yet highly practical action: providing them with nutritious milk to help them develop more comprehensively physically and intellectually, leading to a brighter future.
