In 2021, Nghe An aims to achieve 1.2 billion USD in export turnover
(Baonghean.vn) - In 2021, the Industry and Trade sector sets a target of achieving a total export turnover of 1.2 billion USD, an increase of 7.1% compared to 2020, of which the export turnover of goods reaches 910 million USD, an increase of 12.3% compared to 2020.
In 2020, in the context of the serious outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic worldwide, many import and export enterprises still overcame difficulties, took advantage of FTAs to stabilize production, boosted exports, bringing Nghe An's turnover to 1 billion 123 million USD, of which goods exports reached 813 million USD, up 2.3% compared to 2019, reaching 95.6% of the set plan.
Goods are exported to more than 128 countries and territories around the world, an increase of 15 markets compared to 2019.

Total import turnover of goods in 2020 is estimated to reach 735 million USD, down 5.9% compared to 2019, exceeding 3.5% compared to the 2020 plan.
In 2021, the Industry and Trade sector sets a target of achieving a total export turnover of 1.2 billion USD, an increase of 7.1% compared to 2020, of which the export turnover of goods reaches 910 million USD, an increase of 12.3% compared to 2020; labor and service export reaches 290 million USD.
Speaking at the conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh praised the efforts and important contributions of the Industry and Trade sector, localities, and import-export enterprises to the socio-economic development of the province.2021 is the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the 10-year Socio-Economic Development Strategy. To achieve the set goals, the Industry and Trade sector needs to step up the direction of production and processing of goods, creatingexport source; Focus on closely monitoring the market situation to review and identify the types of goods that countries are in need of importing to exploit and develop export markets.

Encourage enterprises to expand production, innovate technology, improve labor productivity, especially for textile and garment enterprises, mineral processing, fruit processing, and seafood processing for export, which are the province's key products that have been and are likely to increase sharply in both output and value.export turnoverin 2021.
Actively promote investment and call for domestic and foreign investors to invest in Nghe An to produce export goods. This is considered an important solution to create a breakthrough in creating a rich source of export goods, increasing export turnover for the following years in the period of 2020-2025.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of districts, cities and towns to regularly approach enterprises, grasp difficulties and obstacles, in order to create favorable conditions and remove them for enterprises in production and import-export business activities; at the same time, regularly coordinate and update information on the export and import situation in the province, synthesize proposals and recommendations from enterprises to report to the Provincial People's Committee for timely handling and resolution, contributing to promoting the completion of the export plan targets set by the 19th Nghe An Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025.
