"Hello", "Formation", "7 years", "Work" and "Stressed Out" will compete in the important categories of the 59th Grammy Awards on February 12.

"Hello" - Adele

Hellois the first single from Adele's album 25, released on November 20, 2015. The songWritten by Adele with songwriter Greg Kurstin, Hello can be heard in the familiar sadness of her previous hits such as Someone Like You, Chasing Pavements, Set Fire to the Rain. However, Hello has the calmness of a mature woman.

In the first 24 hours of its release, the song garnered over 27 million views on YouTube. Five days later, it had racked up over 100 million views, making it one of the fastest videos to reach that milestone. On January 18, Hello hit one billion views on YouTube's Vevo channel. The songreceived nominations for "Record of the Year", "Song of the Year", "Best Pop Performance" at the 59th Grammy Awards 2017.

"Formation" - Beyonce

Formation is a single from Beyonce's sixth album Lemonade, released on February 6, 2016.The Queen of R&B still shows off her skillful choreography inFormation. The visuals of the MV carry many symbolic meanings, leaving many haunting impressions.

The female singer sends a message about feminism, pride in black culture and calls for the elimination of racism. At the beginning of the MV, Beyonce sits on a New Orleans police car that is gradually sinking into floodwaters. This image reminds of the pain when Hurricane Katrina swept through New Orleans - the land considered the cradle of multi-ethnic culture. The moment the police car crashes into a figure implicitly condemns a series of cases of American police killing black people. The image of them raising their hands in surrender before a black boy shows the dream of equality. Baby Blue Ivy - Beyonce's daughter - also appears in the MV with her signature curly hair.

In addition to the "Record of the Year" nomination, Formation received nominations for "Song of the Year" and "Music Video of the Year".

"7 years" - Lukas Graham

7 years is taken from Lukas Graham's second album, released on December 15, 2015. The four-piece band from Denmark started working in late 2011 but only really shined when the Soul-Pop version 7 years was released. The song is one of the most critically acclaimed songs of the past year. 7 Years has meaningful lyrics, like the story of a person's life from the age of seven to 77.

Lukas Forchhammer, lead singer and writer of 7 years, shared that he wrote the song after his father passed away at the age of 61. His death made him realize how short life is: "It seems like my father's passing was fate. He died when we were about to enter the world music market. He helped us become as successful as we are today. Without him, I couldn't have written this song."

Lukas Graham's Sweet Ballad was nominated for "Record of the Year" and "Song of the Year".

"Work" - Rihanna feat. Drake

Work is the first single from Rihanna's eighth album, released on January 27, 2016. Previously, all 13 songs from RiRi's Anti album were leaked online. Many fans think that Work is less attractive than her other music products.. However, cCritics have praised dancehall music (a Jamaican music genre)in Work.

The song peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for nine weeks, becoming Rihanna's 14th single to do so and placing her fourth on the list of artists with the most number-one singles in history (behind The Beatles, Elvis Presley and Mariah Carey). The song also reached number one in Canada, Brazil, Denmark, France, the Netherlands and reached the top five in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, the United Kingdom and Germany.

Twenty One Pilotsrelease songStressed OutApril 2015.
