His mother died prematurely from a serious illness, and his father was in poor health and had difficulty communicating. Life was full of hardships, but the boy always lived in the loving embrace of his parents. His father tried everything he could to help his son fulfill his dream of becoming a singer.

Le Vinh Toan was born and raised in a poor rural area of Nghe An province, in a family with five siblings. After finishing 9th grade, seeing his parents struggling to support their children's education, he decided to work and support himself.
He went to Sa Pa to work as a security guard for a hotel. The weather was bitterly cold, but he only had thin clothes. The hotel owner, out of compassion, gave him a warm set of clothes, a kindness he has never forgotten.
When feeling sad and homesick, he would listen to music and find that the melodies saved his life. His desire to become a singer resurfaced, and he decided to return to his hometown to attend supplementary classes, hoping to realize his dream.
"My journey to becoming a professional singer has been fraught with countless difficulties, like something out of a movie, but something I never dared to dream of actually happened - becoming a student at the Vietnam National Academy of Music," the singer expressed.
Le Vinh Toan said that his life completely changed after being introduced to Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, who was then the Deputy Head of the Vocal Department, by singer Huyen Trang.
"Ms. Tan Nhan lent me a house to live in and study for my exams. It felt like I was reborn. It's safe to say that my music career owes its success to Ms. Tan Nhan's help," Le Vinh Toan confided. Currently, he is mentored by singer and lecturer Le Anh Dung.
