Observations in several rice fields in Nam Xuan commune show that, due to the forecast of continued heavy rain in the coming days, people are actively harvesting the flattened rice crops. Because the rice has fallen flat, in some areas people are having to harvest manually by hand. In addition, threshing machines and combine harvesters have been mobilized to the fields to ensure the harvesting progress and minimize damage caused by the rain.
