Nam Dan: Inauguration of special inscription on Elephant Mountain

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 28, Nam Dan District Youth Union held a ceremony to inaugurate the inscription "Forever grateful to great Uncle Ho" and received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister. Attending the ceremony were Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Pham Tuan Vinh and leaders of Nam Dan district.

On the occasion of the 127th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - 2017) and the 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to his hometown (June 16, 1957 - 2017), Nam Dan District Youth Union has implemented an investment project to rebuild this meaningful project.

After nearly 9 months of construction (March 16 – November 28, 2017), the project was completed. The letters were designed with reinforced concrete, 200m long, 9m high. The width of each letter is 2m.

The project was undertaken by Nam Dan District Youth Union with socialized funding. The total investment value of the project is 1 billion 235 million VND with contributions from youth union members, organizations, individuals, businesses, Nam Dan children living far from home, along with the support of thousands of working days from youth union members and armed forces soldiers stationed in the area.

The project includes the following items: Reinforced concrete letters covered with white paint with reflective powder, 15m high national flagpole, 2 rows of black star trees, monument stele...

Also at the ceremony, authorized by the Prime Minister - Deputy Secretary of Nam Dan District Party Committee - Nguyen Lam Son awarded the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to officials and youth union members of Nam Dan District Youth Union.

In recent years, the Youth Union and youth movement of Nam Dan district have achieved many results, contributing to the overall achievements of the district. For 5 consecutive years, Nam Dan District Youth Union has been classified as "Excellently completing tasks" and received many Certificates of Merit and Emulation Flags from the Provincial Youth Union, Central Youth Union, Provincial People's Committee, etc.

At the ceremony, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee awarded 8 groups and 9 individuals; Nam Dan District People's Committee also presented certificates of merit and gifts to 1 group and 4 individuals who had outstanding achievements in the process of building the project with the words "Forever grateful to great Uncle Ho". The Provincial Youth Union presented 10 gifts to poor students who overcame difficulties in the area, each worth 500,000 VND.
