Nam Dan: Special inscription unveiled on Elephant Mountain.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 28th, the Nam Dan District Youth Union held a ceremony to inaugurate the inscription "Forever grateful to the great Uncle Ho" and receive a Certificate of Commendation from the Prime Minister. Attending the ceremony were the Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Pham Tuan Vinh, and leaders of Nam Dan district.

To commemorate the 127th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 – 2017) and the 60th anniversary of his visit to his hometown (June 16, 1957 – 2017), the Nam Dan District Youth Union has launched a project to rebuild this significant structure.

After nearly 9 months of construction (March 16 - November 28, 2017), the project was completed. The lettering is made of reinforced concrete, 200 meters long and 9 meters high. The width of each letter is 2 meters.

The project was undertaken by the Nam Dan District Youth Union with funding from social contributions. The total investment for the construction project was 1.235 billion VND, contributed by youth union members, organizations, individuals, businesses, people from Nam Dan living away from home, along with thousands of man-days of labor from youth union members and soldiers of the armed forces stationed in the area.

The project includes the following elements: a reinforced concrete sign with white paint and reflective powder coating, a 15-meter-high national flagpole, two rows of black star trees, a commemorative plaque, etc.

Also at the ceremony, on behalf of the Prime Minister, the Deputy Secretary of the Nam Dan District Party Committee, Nguyen Lam Son, presented the Prime Minister's Certificate of Commendation to the officials and youth union members of the Nam Dan District Youth Union.

Over the years, the youth union work and youth movement in Nam Dan district have achieved many results, contributing to the overall achievements of the entire district. For five consecutive years, the Nam Dan District Youth Union has been ranked as "Outstanding in fulfilling its nhiệm vụ" (tasks/duties) and has received many Certificates of Merit and Emulation Flags from the Provincial Youth Union, the Central Youth Union, and the Provincial People's Committee...

At the ceremony, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union awarded commendations to 8 collectives and 9 individuals; the People's Committee of Nam Dan district also presented certificates of merit and gifts to 1 collective and 4 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the construction of the monument bearing the inscription "Forever grateful to the great Uncle Ho". The Provincial Youth Union also presented 10 gifts to underprivileged students in the area, each worth 500,000 VND.
