| In line with the policy of merging commune-level administrative units, on the morning of August 30th, the 20th term of the Nam Dan District People's Council (2016-2021) held its 10th session (extraordinary session) to approve the Draft Resolution on the merger of commune-level administrative units in Nam Dan district for the period 2019-2021. |
At the meeting, the District People's Council heard and considered the presentation of the District People's Committee and unanimously approved the Resolution on the plan for rearranging commune-level administrative units in Nam Dan district for the period 2019-2021 for the following units: Nam Trung, Nam Phuc, Nam Cuong, Nam Loc, Nam Tan, Nam Thuong, Van Dien and Nam Dan Town, in order to establish new commune-level administrative units in the district. |
| The communes of Nam Trung, Nam Phuc, and Nam Cuong merged to form the commune of Trung Phuc Cuong. |
Accordingly, Nam Dan district will merge three communes: Nam Phuc, Nam Cuong, and Nam Trung to form a new commune named Trung Phuc Cuong; merge hamlets 1 and 3 of Nam Thuong commune with two communes: Nam Tan and Nam Loc to form a new commune named Thuong Tan Loc; and merge hamlets 4 and 5 of Nam Thuong commune with Van Dien commune and Nam Dan town to form a new town named Nam Dan town.
