Accordingly, at approximately 3:00 AM on April 5th, Tam went to Khang Huong retail gasoline station (located in Moi hamlet, Chau Thon commune) to buy gasoline. There, Tam and Bui Van Ngoc, a gas station employee, had a conflict, and Ngoc assaulted Tam.
In the early morning of April 6th, Tam rode his bicycle, carrying 10 meters of electrical wire, to the Khang Huong gas station with the intention of taking revenge for Ngoc assaulting him that afternoon. At that time, Ngoc was sound asleep. Tam used the wire, plugged into a 220V outlet, to directly shock Ngoc's face. The victim was suddenly electrocuted and woke up shouting, causing Tam to panic and flee, leaving his bicycle in the yard.
From the bicycle left behind, the police force of Que Phong district quickly tracked down Tam, the person who electrocuted Mr. Ngoc late at night.
