Male driver assaults female toll booth attendant inside the cabin.

(Baonghean.vn) - Upon seeing the toll booth employee ask him to stop and buy a ticket, the male driver became angry and then stormed into the cabin and kicked the woman.

On the morning of January 21st, Mr. Pham Van Kien, Head of the Hung Loi Commune Police (Hung Nguyen District), stated that the commune police had recorded an incident in which a driver assaulted a female employee at the Ben Thuy 2 Bridge toll station.

Earlier, at around 5:55 PM on January 19th, a four-seater car with license plate 37A-33162, traveling from Ha Tinh towards Vinh City, entered the toll station but showed no intention of stopping to purchase a ticket.

At this point, Ms. Nguyen Bao An (born in 1990 - a toll booth employee) asked the driver to stop and buy a ticket, but the driver showed annoyance and still gave her 50,000 VND.

Ms. An received the money, went into the cabin, tore off a 40,000 VND ticket, scanned it with the barcode reader to open the barrier, and then returned the change of 10,000 VND.

The driver drove past the toll barrier for a short distance, then suddenly walked back and stormed into the cabin, kicking Ms. An.

Mr. Ngo Xuan Dung (a toll collector) who was selling tickets nearby saw what was happening and ran over to intervene. But the driver didn't stop and continued to kick and stomp on the female employee.

Afterward, the male driver got into his car and drove towards Vinh City. Ms. An was taken to Vinh City General Hospital for treatment with injuries to her left shoulder and left arm.

The entire incident of the male driver assaulting Ms. An was recorded by surveillance cameras at the Ben Thuy 2 bridge toll station.

According to initial verification by the BOT branch of the Vinh City bypass, the driver's identity is Nguyen Cong Hung (born in 1978, residing in Le Loi Ward, Vinh City).

Regarding this incident, the BOT branch of the Vinh City bypass route stated that it has submitted a report to the relevant authorities requesting clarification of the matter.
