Young man beaten to death for shining his car headlights in someone's face.

After shining his car's headlights in someone's face, leading to a conflict, the young man was beaten to death by a mob.

Police in District 12, Ho Chi Minh City, said they are temporarily detaining and investigating a group of young men who beat a man to death after a dispute over a car's headlights shining in his face.

This group of young men includes Vo Xuan Hao (born in 1997, from Binh Dinh province), Le Hoang Thang (born in 1992, from Quang Ngai province), Nguyen Dang Minh Su (born in 1997, from Binh Dinh province), and Nguyen Dang Thanh Nam (born in 1992, from Binh Thanh district, Ho Chi Minh City).

The suspects were arrested.

Earlier on September 9th, Hao was sitting and talking with his girlfriend at his rented room in District 12. At that time, Pham Thanh Binh (born in 1996) and Pham Thai Viet (born in 1998), both from Ninh Binh province, happened to pass by, shining their car headlights into Hao's face.

Annoyed by the flashlight shining in his face, Hao got into a conflict and argument with Binh and Viet. To intimidate their rivals, Binh and Viet called six other young men to attack Hao, causing him minor injuries.

On September 10th, Hao was drinking with a group of friends, recounting the assault and planning revenge. The group went to Binh and Viet's rented room and found Viet there with a woman.

The group of young men called Viet outside to talk, but he ignored them. Enraged, Nam, along with Hao and Su, rushed in and brutally attacked Viet with their hands and feet, causing him to fall to the floor.

At that moment, Thang ran over, grabbed a metal pipe for smoking tobacco, about 60cm long, that was in the rented room, and struck Viet directly on the head.

Seeing Viet collapse, the entire group fled the scene. Although Viet was rushed to the hospital, he died from a severe head injury.
