A young man from Nghe An province who returned from Japan has tested positive for Covid-19.
Patient 1513 is a 25-year-old male, a Vietnamese national, residing in Truong Thi Ward, Vinh City, Nghe An Province.
On the afternoon of January 9th, the Ministry of Health announced one additional case.infected with Covid-19, bringing the total number of people infected with this disease in our country to 1,513 cases.
Patient 1,513 is a 25-year-old male of Vietnamese nationality, residing in Truong Thi Ward, Vinh City, Nghe An Province.
On December 29, 2020, this person returned to Vietnam from Japan on flight VN311. After entering the country at Van Don airport, he was immediately quarantined in Hai Duong.
Test results on January 8, 2021, showed this person tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. The patient is currently isolated and receiving treatment at the Hai Duong Provincial Hospital for Infectious Diseases.
Previously, four SARS-CoV-2 positive cases were recorded on the aforementioned flight VN311.isolationRight here in Hai Duong.
As of 6 PM on January 9th, Vietnam had recorded 1,513 cases of Covid-19, including 693 cases of domestic transmission.

Among the remaining patients, 8 have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 three times in a row, 8 have tested negative twice, and 9 have tested negative once. The number of deaths due to Covid-19 remains at 35.
Vietnam currently has two critically ill COVID-19 patients: patient 1465, being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, and patient 1405, being treated at the Quang Nam Central General Hospital. Patient 1465 is the most severe case.
Regarding the quarantine situation, the total number of people who have had close contact with infected individuals or have entered the country from affected areas and are currently under health monitoring nationwide is 17,634. Of these, 146 are quarantined in hospitals, 15,875 are quarantined in other centralized facilities, and 1,613 are quarantined at home or their place of residence.
