Son-in-law stabs wife's parents to death after begging wife to come back
On the morning of November 20, suspect Trinh Chi Kien (born in 1970, residing in Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City) came to the Binh Chanh District Police headquarters to surrender in connection with the murder case that left two people dead in a house in the district.
At the police station, Kien admitted that he was the perpetrator who caused the death of his wife's parents, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hoang (born in 1959) and Mrs. Tran Thi Hiep (born in 1965), living in a house on Thich Thien Hoa Street, Hamlet 5, Le Minh Xuan Commune, Binh Chanh District.
Kien and his wife lived separately so the wife took her 3 year old son back to her parents' house.
After many times of begging his wife to bring their children back to live with him but with no results, Kien thought that Mr. Hoang and his wife had influenced his wife and prevented her from living with Kien.
On the morning of November 18, Kien went to his wife’s parents’ house to look for his wife but did not find her so he cursed her. Mr. Hoang and Mrs. Hiep reacted, leading to a fight. Kien then used a knife to kill both of them.
After committing the crime, Kien used a motorbike to escape but the motorbike would not start, so he stopped a woman's motorbike and asked her to take him away.
At that time, many neighbors heard Mr. Hoang and his wife's cries for help and came to see Kien covered in blood.
Through investigation, the police identified Kien as the main suspect, so they issued a wanted warrant and the subject surrendered.
Currently, Binh Chanh District Police have transferred suspect Trinh Chi Kien and the case file and evidence to the Department of Investigation Police on Social Order Crimes (PC45) of the City Police for further investigation and handling according to authority./.
