On July 15th, a large amount of crushed stone from trucks carrying stones spilled onto the road surface on National Highway 7A, specifically from kilometer 139+990 to kilometer 140+100 in Tam Thai commune, Tuong Duong district.
According to many local residents, the amount of gravel that fell from the truck on the aforementioned section of road is estimated to be more than 1 meter.3There are rocks with a diameter of nearly 10 cm. The scattered rocks are located at a bend in the road that is almost 100 meters long.
Mr. Vi Van Choong, residing in Dinh village, Chi Khe commune, Con Cuong district, lamented: "I frequently have to travel along the road from Con Cuong to Muong Xen, and seeing rocks scattered all over the road makes it very difficult for me, especially at night or when encountering other vehicles."

National Highway 7A in particular, and roads in western Nghe An province in general, are located in mountainous areas, resulting in numerous sharp turns and steep, treacherous mountain passes. The presence of loose rocks on the road surface further exacerbates traffic difficulties on these routes.

Mr. Tran Khac Truong, Head of the Khe Bo Road Management Unit (Tuong Duong), said that on the road under his unit's management, there is a frequent occurrence of trucks carrying stones spilling onto the road. The stones usually fall due to two reasons: firstly, trucks are overloaded, causing spillage whenever they encounter rough road sections; or secondly, drivers are careless and fail to securely close the truck bed, causing stones to fall out.

"I've taken many pictures of this phenomenon on my phone. I've also informed the company and the Traffic Inspectorate about this incident, and I will soon submit a report to the authorities to take decisive action against this issue," Mr. Truong said.
