Improving the quality of training and capacity building for entrepreneurs in Nghe An.

On the afternoon of August 13th, Inspection Team No. 5 of the Provincial Party Committee, led by Comrade Ho Phuc Hop - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department, and Deputy Head of Inspection Team No. 5, inspected, reviewed, and evaluated the implementation of the "Project on developing and training a team of entrepreneurs associated with enhancing competitiveness and integration for businesses in Nghe An province, giai đoạn 2016 - 2020, with consideration for 2025" at Nghe An University of Economics. At the meeting, Dr. Duong Xuan Thao, Rector of Nghe An University of Economics, stated that, given the reality that many entrepreneurs and business executives lack formal training, especially in the era of integration, the university considers the Project as a "pivotal" in its overall training mission and in the implementation of the Project's objectives.

During the period 2016-2018, the school organized 6 courses and 1 specialized workshop, attracting nearly 1,000 participants and staff. The school coordinated with the Department of Planning and Investment and other relevant units to agree on the content, program, and teaching staff for 54 courses and workshops.

The content of the business training courses aims to provide necessary and useful information, knowledge, and skills for leading and managing businesses, contributing to improving the efficiency and competitiveness of businesses in the context of regional and global economic integration. Participants receive knowledge on how to build and plan strategies, manage human resources, and manage corporate finances.

However, at the meeting, the implementation of the provincial business training program still has some issues that need to be considered and addressed in the future, such as: The spirit and awareness of some businesspeople in participating in training courses are still passive, and they have not truly recognized the necessity of participating in training.

The failure to fully utilize the teaching expertise of lecturers from training institutions within the province, coupled with the reliance on lecturers and experts from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, has created difficulties for some units in balancing budgets and has resulted in delays in organizing courses.

Comrade Ho Phuc Hop, Deputy Head of Inspection Team No. 5 of the Provincial Party Committee, pointed out that the objectives of the Project are ambitious, but in reality, the business community has not yet truly grown strong; he also raised the question of the causes of this problem and whether it is related to training.

Deputy Head of Delegation Ho Phuc Hop stated that entrepreneur training plays a very important role, not only in management training, but also in helping entrepreneurs and businesses create a sustainable development environment, address employment needs for workers, and contribute to the overall growth of the province.

To further enhance the effectiveness of the Project in the future, Comrade Ho Phuc Hop suggested that Nghe An University of Economics and relevant departments and agencies actively promote the content, role, and effectiveness of the Project, including:Selecting communication channels to ensure easy access to the Project's programs and courses for small and medium-sized enterprises; developing appropriate plans and programs; identifying and training a team of instructors from training institutions in the province.
