Improving the quality and effectiveness of the Nghe An Newspaper's team of collaborators.

Attending the conference were: Mr. Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Mr. Pham Ngoc Canh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Mr. Phan Thanh Doai - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department; Mr. Tran Minh Ngoc - Director of the Provincial Radio and Television Station, Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association; representatives from departments, agencies, press agencies, and more than 100 outstanding collaborators of Nghe An Newspaper from within and outside the province.

Over 700 collaborators

Reporting at the conference, Comrade Tran Van Hung - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper - expressed the gratitude of Nghe An Newspaper to its team of collaborators; sending sincere and profound thanks to the team of more than 700 collaborators, including 300 active and regular collaborators in the province, extending to various sectors and localities, and more than 100 collaborators outside the province working in many different fields.

Due to the complex developments of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021 and early 2022, the Conference could not be held.CollaboratorThe newspaper regularly publishes articles annually. However, in 2022, it received over 10,265 articles from contributors. The online newspaper received an average of 60 articles per day via email. The majority of contributor articles were fresh information reflecting the pulse of life, and were therefore used promptly in various publications: Nghe An Daily, Nghe An Weekend, Nghe An Online, and its YouTube channel. This contributed to creating a rich, diverse, and engaging source of information for Nghe An Newspaper. Among them, many contributors have had their works appear regularly in the newspaper, building a strong brand in the hearts of readers.

Currently, articles contributed by collaborators account for nearly 50% of the newspaper's content. In 2022, the Editorial Board directed the Nghe An Newspaper Journalists' Association to organize 9 training courses on journalism skills with approximately 3,000 participants. In addition, the Editorial Secretary and specialized departments have increased online interaction, guidance, and direct professional exchange with the team of collaborators, thus ensuring the quality of articles and publication schedule. The team of collaborators has become an extension of the editorial office's reach to the grassroots, especially during natural disasters and epidemics.

Actively collaborate and maintain a long-term partnership.

At the conference, many collaborators shared their thoughts and memories from their time working with Nghe An Newspaper, and also contributed heartfelt suggestions to further improve the quality of Nghe An Newspaper's publications.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, highly appreciated the achievements of Nghe An Newspaper in the past year with many innovations in its publications, including: the daily newspaper, the weekend newspaper, the special section on ethnic minorities and mountainous regions, television channels, YouTube, and podcast radio programs… The innovations in publications, both in form and content quality, focusing on developing multimedia journalism, have created appeal and attracted readers, meeting the needs of the increasingly strong development of digital transformation in the current situation.

The Provincial Party Standing Committee's approval of the Project on comprehensively improving the quality associated with digital transformation of Nghe An Newspaper for the period 2022-2027, with consideration to 2030, demonstrates the Provincial Party Committee's special attention to the development of Nghe An Newspaper in the coming years. In addition, the inclusion of English language content in Nghe An Newspaper is a significant step forward, contributing to the promotion and dissemination of new and positive aspects of Nghe An's land and people to readers both domestically and internationally; contributing to boosting investment promotion and attracting investment, as well as the province's foreign information work. And today, the newspaper is launching the writing contest "Everyday Beauty," which is also a way to reflect positive aspects and acts of kindness that make life better.

To further improve the quality and effectiveness of the team of collaborators, contributing to enhancing the quality of publications and fulfilling the tasks assigned by the province, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee - expressed her wish that Nghe An Newspaper should focus on implementing several tasks and solutions such as: Reviewing and re-evaluating the team of collaborators, and then developing a plan and roadmap for training and developing professional skills, especially multimedia skills. Emphasis should be placed on building a team of "strategic" collaborators in specific fields; collaborators in difficult and complex areas; remote areas, border regions, and islands; and collaborators specializing in topics related to protecting the Party's ideological foundation; combating corruption and negative phenomena... in order to strengthen the fighting spirit and critical analysis of the Party newspaper.

To achieve this, it is necessary to further strengthen the two-way interaction and connection between the editorial office and contributors. Timely rewards should be given to contributors who make positive contributions and produce many high-quality articles that are well-received by readers, thereby creating motivation to encourage the team of contributors to actively collaborate and remain committed in the long term.

On behalf of the Editorial Board, reporters, and staff of Nghe An Newspaper, Comrade Ngo Duc Kien - Secretary of the Party Committee and Editor-in-Chief - expressed gratitude for the guidance from the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department as well as the suggestions from the contributors. The Editor-in-Chief stated that, entering 2023, Nghe An Newspaper is determined to implement many solutions to continuously improve the quality of both content and form, meeting the expectations of its readers. In addition to the role of the Editorial Board, staff, reporters, and editors, Nghe An Newspaper hopes to receive even more support and active contributions from its contributors, helping the newspaper to successfully fulfill the tasks assigned by the province. Accordingly, Nghe An Newspaper will pay more attention to training and remuneration for its contributors...
