Improve the quality and efficiency of Nghe An Newspaper's collaborators

Attending the conference were comrades: Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Pham Ngoc Canh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Phan Thanh Doai - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department; Tran Minh Ngoc - Director of the Provincial Radio and Television Station, Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association; representatives of departments, agencies, press agencies, and more than 100 typical collaborators of Nghe An Newspaper inside and outside the province.

More than 700 collaborators

Reporting at the conference, comrade Tran Van Hung - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper expressed Nghe An Newspaper's gratitude to the team of collaborators; sent sincere and deep thanks to the team of more than 700 collaborators, including 300 active and regular collaborators in the province, expanding to sectors and localities and more than 100 collaborators outside the province working in many different fields.

In 2021 and early 2022, due to the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Conference cannot be held.Collaboratorregularly as every year. However, in 2022, the newspaper received more than 10,265 articles from contributors. The online newspaper received an average of 60 articles/day via email. Most of the articles from contributors are new information, reflecting the breath of life, so they are used promptly in publications: Nghe An Daily, Nghe An Weekend, Nghe An Electronic Newspaper and YouTube channel. Thanks to that, it has contributed to creating a rich, diverse and attractive source of information for Nghe An Newspaper. Among them, there are many contributors whose works appear regularly in the newspaper, creating a brand in the hearts of readers.

Currently, the number of news and articles from contributors accounts for nearly 50% of the newspaper pages. In 2022, the Editorial Board directed the Nghe An Newspaper Journalists Association to organize 9 journalism training courses with about 3,000 participants. In addition, the Editorial Secretary and specialized departments have increased online interaction, guidance, and direct professional exchanges with the team of contributors, thereby ensuring the quality of news, articles, and publishing progress. The team of contributors has become an extension of the editorial office to the grassroots, especially in conditions of natural disasters, epidemics, etc.

Actively cooperate and accompany for a long time

At the conference, many collaborators shared their thoughts and memories during their collaboration with Nghe An Newspaper, and contributed their enthusiastic ideas to further improve the quality of Nghe An Newspaper's publications.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department highly appreciated the achievements of Nghe An Newspaper in the past year with many innovations in publications including: Daily Newspaper, Weekend Newspaper, ethnic minority page, TV channels, YouTube, Podcast radio section... Innovation in publications in both form and content quality, focusing on developing multimedia journalism has created appeal and attraction for readers, meeting the need for digital transformation that is growing strongly in the current situation.

The approval of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee's Project on comprehensive quality improvement associated with digital transformation of Nghe An Newspaper in the period of 2022-2027, with a view to 2030, demonstrates the special attention of the Provincial Party Committee to the development of Nghe An Newspaper in the coming years. In addition, Nghe An Newspaper adding English language to Nghe An Newspaper is a strong step forward, contributing to enhancing the introduction and promotion of new and bright spots about Nghe An land and people to domestic and foreign readers; contributing to promoting the work of promoting, attracting investment, and foreign information work of the province. And today, the newspaper opened the writing contest "Everyday Beauty" as a way to reflect the positive aspects, good deeds, making life better.

To further improve the quality and effectiveness of the team of collaborators, contributing to improving the quality of publications, and performing well the tasks assigned by the province, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department hopes that Nghe An Newspaper needs to focus on performing well a number of tasks and solutions such as: It is necessary to review and re-evaluate the team of collaborators, thereby having a plan and roadmap for training and coaching professional skills, especially multimedia skills. Focus on building a team of "strategic" collaborators in specific fields; collaborators in difficult and complicated areas; remote areas, border and island areas, specialized collaborators on topics related to protecting the Party's ideological foundation; preventing and combating corruption and negativity... to enhance the fighting spirit and critical nature of the Party newspaper.

To do that, it is necessary to further strengthen the interaction and two-way connection between the editorial office and the contributors. Timely reward contributors who have made positive contributions, have many high-quality news and articles, and are well received by readers to create motivation and encourage the team of contributors to actively collaborate and accompany for a long time.

The Editor-in-Chief said that in 2023, Nghe An Newspaper is determined to implement many solutions to continuously improve the quality of both content and form, meeting the expectations of readers. In addition to the role of the Editorial Board, staff, reporters, and editors, Nghe An Newspaper hopes to receive more support and active contributions from contributors, contributing to Nghe An Newspaper in successfully completing the tasks assigned by the province. Accordingly, Nghe An Newspaper will pay more attention to training work, royalties for contributors, etc.
