Mr. Duong Van Tai said that to maintain and clean all air conditioners for each order, especially high-rise buildings or apartments, a team of 2-3 workers is needed. In addition to preparing specialized tools and machinery such as water pumps, ladders, and labor protection equipment, service providers must also be proficient and knowledgeable about the technical specifications and operating mechanisms of air conditioners.

In addition, service workers must also have the spirit of not being afraid of difficulties and hardships and be careful and meticulous in their work to avoid damage and affect the quality of the machine. To clean an air conditioner, in addition to cleaning the cooling unit located in the rooms, the technician must also clean the radiator (also known as the hot block) installed outdoors.

"Families with low-rise houses or houses with roofs can climb up to access the radiator of the air conditioner, so the cleaning time will be faster, about 30-40 minutes per machine. If the machine is installed in a high-rise building or apartment building, we have to install scaffolding, use ropes to hang people, climb quite hard and sometimes dangerous to be able to complete the "order" to ensure quality" - Mr. Tai said.

Mr. Nguyen Van Minh, a technician specializing in air conditioner maintenance and installation, added that during the hot season, although the work is quite hard when having to climb high buildings and work under the hot sun, in return, this is also a "busy" time, workers have a higher income than usual, so everyone tries to work hard.

The price for cleaning and maintenance services for each air conditioner is 150,000 VND, the price for installing a new air conditioner ranges from 200,000 to 300,000 VND depending on the characteristics and "difficulty" of the installation location. The group of workers said that if installing in a high-rise building, the homeowner will usually have to spend more money to buy additional pipes, drainage pipes and support the team of workers to rent installation tools, such as scaffolding.

However, currently, the cost of installing the machine is often contracted by electronics and refrigeration stores to service stores, or installed by technical staff, and rarely hired by customers.

Currently, in Vinh city and the centers of districts and towns, there are stores selling electronic and refrigeration equipment; there are stores specializing in installing, repairing and maintaining electronic and refrigeration equipment to meet consumer needs. Most households have from 1 to 2, even more than 3 air conditioners depending on their needs and economic capacity. At the beginning of the hot season, the demand for this type of machine increases dramatically, leading to an increase in maintenance and cleaning services.

At the beginning of the hot season, besides the bustling market of supplying electrical appliances,... the service of maintaining and installing air conditioners also "attracts" customers. "On peak days, we have to work 3 shifts, each session installing and maintaining about 3 "orders". On days with more than 10 orders, we negotiate with customers to work at night" - Mr. Duong Van Tai said.
