Napoli are considering signing Man Utd striker Rasmus Hojlund, but only if the Red Devils accept a much lower price than they paid.

Hojlund's poor form has made coach Amorim no longer have much faith in him, and Napoli could be a potential destination to help him return to Serie A.

Hojlund joined Man Utd from Atalanta in the summer of 2023 for £64 million (possibly rising to £72 million). However, under coach Ruben Amorim, Hojlund's form has seriously declined. The Danish striker has "failed to score" in 16 consecutive matches, leaving the Portuguese coach "not yet convinced" of his ability.

According to talkSPORT, Napoli are willing to "rescue" Hojlund, but only if Man Utd suffers a heavy loss. Although the specific price has not been disclosed, but with Hojlund's poor form, Man Utd can hardly ask for a high number.

Napoli have shown their willingness to sign Premier League players under Conte, bringing in Billy Gilmour (Brighton) and Romelu Lukaku (Chelsea). Napoli are also keeping an eye on Manchester United's Victor Osimhen, who is on loan at Galatasaray.

One possible option could be for Man Utd and Napoli to strike a swap deal, with the Red Devils paying more for Osimhen and Hojlund going the other way. However, according to talkSPORT, the deal is not straightforward.

The more likely scenario is two separate deals, with Man Utd negotiating a deal for Osimhen, while Napoli try to sign Hojlund in a separate deal.
