Napoli are considering signing Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund, but only on the condition that the Red Devils accept a significantly lower price than what they paid for him.

Hojlund's declining form has led coach Amorim to lose faith in him, and Napoli could be a potential destination for his return to Serie A.

Hojlund joined Man Utd from Atalanta in the summer of 2023 for a fee of £64 million (potentially rising to £72 million). However, under manager Ruben Amorim, Hojlund's form has seriously declined. The Danish striker has gone 16 consecutive games without scoring, leaving the Portuguese manager "not at all convinced" of his abilities.

According to talkSPORT, Napoli are ready to "rescue" Hojlund, but only if Man Utd suffer a significant loss. Although the specific price has not been disclosed, given Hojlund's poor form, Man Utd are unlikely to demand a high figure.

Napoli have shown their willingness to recruit players from the Premier League under manager Conte, having brought in Billy Gilmour (Brighton) and Romelu Lukaku (Chelsea). In addition, Napoli are also eyeing Victor Osimhen of Man Utd, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray.

One possible solution would be a swap deal between Man Utd and Napoli, where the Red Devils pay extra for Osimhen, with Hojlund going in the opposite direction. However, according to talkSPORT, this deal is not simple at all.

A more likely scenario would be two separate deals. Man Utd would negotiate for Osimhen, while Napoli would try to sign Hojlund in a separate deal.
