"The obvious truth is that we voluntarily sent appropriate notifications through the OSCE communication system. Moscow summoned military attachés to inform them of the purpose of the exercises, the composition of the forces and equipment involved, the duration, and the deployment area. Therefore, in reality, this issue was politicized, just as NATO politicizes many other elements of Russian exercises. This was done solely to justify the so-called threat from the east," Grushko said.
