Cook banh chung to give to the poor on Tet holiday
(Baonghean.vn) - In order to share the difficulties of poor people in the West during Tet, many agencies and units, in addition to visiting and giving gifts to families, also organize many forms of support for people to celebrate Tet.

Ky Son Districtpresented 1,038 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND to more than 1,000 poor and disadvantaged households in 20 communes in the district. The total value was over 500 million VND, taken from the district's fund for the poor. On this occasion, the district also presented nearly 100 gifts, each worth 800,000 VND, including cash and gifts in kind, to nearly 100 policy households and families with meritorious services to the revolution.

Also in Ky Son district,Nam Can Border Guard Stationsent a working delegation to visit and present 10 gifts to policy families and poor households in Nam Can commune (Ky Son).
10 gifts, each worth 500 thousand VND, were donated by officers and soldiers to support the poor. This activity is meaningful in sharing and encouraging policies, helping those in difficult circumstances to have a warmer and more fulfilling Tet holiday.

Quy Chau District Youth Union in coordination with the district's Cultural and Sports Center organized a contest to wrap Chung cakes to give to the poor on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2018.
The competition attracted a large number of cadres and youth union members in the area. There were 15 teams in total, each team had 4 members. After cooking, these cakes will be given to the poor to celebrate Tet.

Previously, implementing the program "Warm Winter 2018", Chi Khe Commune Youth Union (Con Cuong) coordinated with 30 youth union members of Tong Chai and Bai Van village Youth Union to wrap and cook Chung cakes to give to poor people and policy households in the village.
The members went into the forest to collect dong leaves, donated sticky rice, green beans and money to buy ingredients to make banh chung. 21 pairs of banh chung were given to 21 poor households and families with meritorious services.
