Ky Son DistrictThe district distributed 1,038 gift packages, each worth 500,000 VND, to over 1,000 poor and disadvantaged households in 20 communes throughout the district. The total value exceeded 500 million VND, drawn from the district's fund for the poor. On this occasion, the district also distributed nearly 100 gift packages, each worth 800,000 VND, including cash and in-kind gifts, to nearly 100 policy beneficiary families and families with meritorious contributions to the revolution.

Also in Ky Son district,Nam Can Border Guard StationA delegation was sent to visit and present 10 gifts to families entitled to preferential policies and poor households in Nam Can commune (Ky Son district).
Ten gift packages, each worth 500,000 VND, were donated by officers and soldiers who saved on their expenses to support the poor. This activity aims to share and encourage those in need, helping them to have a warmer and more fulfilling Lunar New Year celebration.

The Quy Chau District Youth Union, in coordination with the District Cultural and Sports Center, organized a competition to wrap banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes) to donate to the poor during the Lunar New Year of Mau Tuat 2018.
The competition attracted a large number of officials and youth union members in the area. There were a total of 15 teams, each with 4 members. The cakes, after being cooked, will be donated to the poor to celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year).

Previously, as part of the "Warm Winter 2018" program, the Chi Khe Commune Youth Union (Con Cuong District) coordinated with 30 youth union members from the Tong Chai and Bai Van village branches to wrap and cook banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes) to donate to poor people and families receiving preferential treatment in the villages.
The youth union members went into the forest themselves to pick banana leaves, and together they donated sticky rice, mung beans, and money to buy ingredients for making banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes). 21 pairs of banh chung were given to 21 poor households and families receiving preferential treatment.
