If I had known you were still a virgin, I wouldn't have cheated on you.

When I found out, I was tormented and felt immense guilt. My ex-wife always wants to reconcile; she knows she made a mistake and promises to change, but I'm still considering it.

We came together at a time when my wife and I were considering divorce. I got married eight years ago and have a lovely daughter. My wife is a successful, capable woman who earns as much money as any man. She is truly admired by many.

My wife and I fell in love during our final year of university. Back then, she was still gentle, well-behaved, and not as bossy as she became when she started working. After she had been working for two years, we got married. Compared to my wife, I'm inferior in many ways. I'm inferior because I don't have a dream job like hers. My salary is only half of hers. As a man, I feel a little ashamed, but I've absolutely never hindered or been bothered by my wife's success. I've always been there to encourage her to strive harder.

When we got married, my family was overjoyed because we were a perfect match, and my wife was beautiful and financially successful. My parents adored her and told me not to upset her. Aware of my own shortcomings, I was very accommodating and respectful of her opinions. To be fair, my wife used to be very easygoing and not at all arrogant or conceited. But perhaps, working in a competitive environment and quickly establishing herself, she developed a condescending, self-important, and overly proud attitude.

We lived together and endured each other for about five years before things started to spiral out of control. I couldn't accept a wife who constantly looked down on her husband and everyone else because they felt inferior to her. She might be more capable than others, but without respect between husband and wife, happiness cannot be sustained.

And then we lived separately, initially in the same house but eventually we decided to move out. I moved out, renting a small apartment to commute to work. Living away from my wife and daughter made me miss her terribly, but in return, I felt much more relaxed and at peace than living in a house where my wife always spoke to me with disdain and contempt.

We had been separated for about a year when I met this girl. She's almost 30 years old and still unmarried. She's very pretty, but I don't understand why she hasn't gotten married yet. I heard from her colleagues that she was in love with a con artist before, and now she's still bitter about it and hasn't wanted to be in a relationship again.

When we met, I confided in her about my family situation. She was very understanding and encouraged me to visit my daughter regularly. I had always felt lonely, unable to share my thoughts and feelings with anyone, but now I felt much lighter having found a soulmate, someone compatible in many ways. Time flew by, and before we knew it, we had become lovers.

We were called lovers, but it wasn't until over a month ago that we crossed the line, even though we'd known each other for almost a year. I didn't want to do this because I was planning to wait until my divorce was finalized before taking the relationship further. However, she was the one who took it the first time. I thought maybe she'd been lonely for a long time. So I agreed, but on our very first night together, I realized I was wrong.

I was devastated to discover she was still a virgin. I assumed that at her age, having already experienced a failed relationship, virginity was something she wouldn't have left. But… When I found out, I was tormented and felt immense guilt. My ex-wife always wants to reconcile; she knows she made a mistake and promises to change, but I'm still considering it. Now, this added complication makes things incredibly difficult for me.

I still have feelings for my ex-wife, but I'm waiting to see how she changes. After all, we have a child together, so if we can reconcile, that would be better. But now, with this added complication, I don't know what to decide. I'm not usually this cruel.

Now I feel like I'm standing at a crossroads, not knowing which to choose. I once thought that if my wife changed, I would go back because we have a child together. But what about my mistress, who is almost 30 and just gave me her virginity? Would it be too cruel of me to just leave her?
