Russia arrests former soldier for spying for Ukraine
Former Black Sea Fleet serviceman Leonid Parkhomenko was detained in Sevastopol on suspicion of treason, according to Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB).

According to investigators, the retired captain collected secret information about the activities of the Black Sea Fleet. The FSB said Parkhomenko was performing tasks for the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's intelligence department, which received the data Parkhomenko passed on.
Under the terms of the treason charge, Parkhomenko faces 20 years in prison. Two weeks ago, the FSB announced the arrest in Crimea of a group of Ukrainian intelligence agents.
According to investigators, they were preparing explosions at key locations on the peninsula. In addition, in October, a Ukrainian Defense Ministry spy, Roman Sushchenko, was arrested in Moscow while collecting secret information on the activities of the Russian Armed Forces and the National Police.
