Russia criticizes NATO's military exercises in the Baltic Sea.
(Baonghean.vn) - The North Atlantic Alliance's military exercises in the Baltic Sea confirm NATO's aggressive military nature. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, at a press conference within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).
“The NATO Northern Coast 2023 exercises were conducted in the Baltic Sea from September 9 to 23 under the command of the German Navy. As stated, the purpose of the exercises was to test “realistic scenarios for defending the alliance’s northern flanks.” This operation once again confirms that NATO is an aggressive military organization,” Zakharova emphasized.
Zakharova added: "Another example of so-called bizarre behavior is when the Baltic Sea, which was previously a peaceful area, has, through the intentions of NATO members, been transformed into another area of geopolitical confrontation."
A representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that NATO's exercises in the Baltic Sea "once again confirm that NATO is an organization" that constantly seeks enemies to justify its existence, spends billions of dollars on procurement, creates turmoil in Bankova (the office of the Ukrainian president), and has strange relations with the West.
