In a recent statement, Sergey Goreslavsky, Deputy General Director of Russia's Rosoboronexport corporation, said that the "Open Partnership" policy has given Russia and India an advantage in strengthening cooperation in the defense sector, especially in the "Make in India" initiative aimed at technology transfer.
Responding to a question about whether Russia is losing market share in India's defense sector, Goreslavsky said: “No. There are many reasons to hope that Russian technology will expand here (in India), even more so in the future.”
According to him, for India, Russia is the most attractive and open partner in the field of technology transfer.
He also emphasized that India has been, is, and will remain a key strategic partner of Russia in the field of military-technical cooperation.
According to Goreslavsky, the concept of a "comprehensive security system" includes a range of utilities, including a "safe city" system, special technologies for border surveillance, ensuring the security of buildings, identifying the attributes of individuals within the framework of counter-terrorism operations, and monitoring violations of national borders.
This system includes specialized small arms, specialized vehicle protection equipment, ANSAT or Ka-226 class small helicopters, as well as mobile centers for organizing security operations in remote areas.
This system was deployed to ensure security at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics and has since been upgraded.
