Russia may exchange 11 Su-35 fighter jets for Indonesian agricultural products.

Russia's Rostec arms corporation and Indonesia's state-owned Perusahaan Perdagangan have signed a preliminary agreement to exchange Su-35 multirole fighter jets for agricultural products such as palm oil and coffee, the Bangkok Post reported on August 6.
"The exchange, under the supervision of the governments of both countries, is expected to begin soon, exchanging 11 Russian Su-35 fighter jets for a number of Indonesian export products such as coffee, tea, palm oil, and other essential goods," said Indonesian Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita.
However, Mr. Lukita did not disclose the value of the agreement or the exact quantity of goods that Jakarta would transfer to Moscow.
According to Mr. Lukita, Indonesia is trying to expand trade relations and cooperation with Russia because Moscow is facing trade sanctions from the United States and European Union countries.
