Russia reveals weaknesses in Kinzhal missile.
According to expert Konstantin Sivkov, to ensure a devastating attack on a target, the Russian Air Force may have to launch up to 10 Kinzhal hypersonic missiles into a single area.
According to expert Konstantin Sivkov, in order to fire a shot, the missile needs to approach at a sufficient distance to unleash its power and accuracy. In this situation, a squadron of MiG-31BMs equipped with Kinzhal missiles would pose a significant threat.

And in that case, it's essential that the warhead's operational range is 2-3 times greater than the target designation error. But existing target designation systems can sometimes give information with an error of about 10 miles or more, and in this situation, the Kinzhal might not find its actual target.
Konstantin Sivkov suggested that, to overcome this situation, the Russian Air Force might have to fire up to 10 of these missiles into an area to reduce the risk. Because 3 out of those 10 missiles would certainly hit their target, making it difficult even for the most advanced US interceptors to counter them.
If this expert's analysis is accurate, it would mean that to destroy an enemy aircraft carrier, the Russian Air Force would need to deploy 10 MiG-31BM fighter jets. The reason for needing such a large number of fighter jets is that each of these jets can only carry one Kinzhal hypersonic missile.
Therefore, the MiG-31BM would face risks if retaliated against by the enemy's carrier-based air defense system, as it is not a stealth fighter. Perhaps it is because of this weakness that the head of the US Navy, Richard Spenser, confidently declared that, although the Kinzhal missile achieves impressive speed, it is useless against US aircraft carriers.
General Richard Spenser stated that US aircraft carriers remain relevant despite Russia's successful development of revolutionary hypersonic missiles, while emphasizing that the US Navy has countermeasures in place to prevent such weapons. However, he did not reveal his strategic plan to counter the Kinzhal.
