Russia conducts missile drills on Baltic coast
Within the framework of the exercise, combat units of the coastal missile systems "Bal" and "Bastion" will carry out missile launches at a group of hypothetical enemy ships in the Baltic Sea.

This information was published by Interfax citing Mr. Roman Martov, the official representative of the Baltic Fleet.
According to him, the servicemen will conduct exercises on military equipment in the firing areas according to the scenario. The Bal and Bastion missile complexes, which are designed to fight against enemy surface ships and protect the coast of the Kaliningrad region, will be deployed.
"From these positions, missilemen will receive target designations and conduct electronic launches with the Bal and Bastion missile complexes at hypothetical enemy fleets," Martov said.
He added that within the framework of the exercise, the units will carry out tasks to check the operational capabilities of missile systems. In addition, they will carry out the unloading and transportation of weapons, which are missile systems.
