(Baonghean.vn) - On November 7, Rosaviatsia - the Russian air transport agency announced that it had sent 44 planes to Egypt to evacuate Russian tourists after the Russian plane crash in Sinai.

According to statistics from the authorities, there are currently about 78,000 Russian citizens traveling in Egypt. Rosaviatsia said that there will be a total of 30 planes going to Hurghada and 14 planes going to Sharm el-Sheikh, two resorts along the Red Sea coast of Egypt.

Irina Tiourina, a spokeswoman for the Russian Tourism Industry Federation, once again assured that Russian tourists currently staying in Egypt will not be forced to leave immediately and will return to Russia whenever they want. It is known that on November 6, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich had made a similar announcement.

For its part, the Russian Labor Ministry called on business owners not to punish employees on vacation in Egypt when they fail to return to work on time due to travel difficulties.

A week has passed since the plane crash in Sinai that killed 224 people, many hypotheses have been put forward, notably the theory that a bomb exploded on the ill-fated Russian Airbus. Although Russia is still carefully considering the hypotheses, the Moscow government has ordered the suspension of its civilian flights to Egypt since November 6.
