Russia calls on the West to recognize the new balance of power
Russian Foreign Minister calls on the West to recognize the new balance of power in the world.

According to RIA Novosti, the Russian Foreign Ministry website quoted Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov's speech at the G20 Foreign Ministers' meeting, saying that at the meeting in Saudi Arabia, Russia and the US discussed that it was time for the West to accept the new balance of power in the world and build relations based on respect.
““It is time for the West to accept a new balance of power and start building relations with the majority of countries in the world, based on mutual respect. We discussed this issue with our American colleagues in Riyadh and agreed on the main issue: international relations should be built on the recognition that each country has its own national interests,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
Mr. Lavrov stressed that the crisis in Ukraine can only be resolved by eliminating its root causes, including fulfilling obligations to respect human rights, including linguistic and religious rights, and adhering to the principle of indivisibility of security in Europe.
The Russian Foreign Minister noted that currently, uncontrolled financial and arms support from the patrons of the Ukrainian government is preventing the conflict from ending.
In Ukraine, MEP Anna Skorokhod said on the YouTube channel "News Live" that the majority of MEPs are expecting the signing of a peace treaty and elections in the country in the near future.
“Right now, all we are talking about is that after the peace treaty is signed, we will have presidential, parliamentary and local elections,” Skorokhod said.
The delegate also added that the Ukrainian Parliament is preparing to amend the Election Code of Ukraine.
