Russia does not disclose progress of negotiations with the US on Ukraine
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Moscow did not discuss details of the negotiations with the US, like Ukraine.

According to RIA Novosti on April 26, in an interview with CBS, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov affirmed that Russia has no intention of publicly announcing the progress of negotiations with the US on resolving the Ukraine issue until the official negotiations are completed.
“We are really serious people when it comes to diplomacy. Unlike some others, we never speak publicly about what is discussed in the negotiations, because then the negotiations become less serious,” Lavrov said.
The Russian Foreign Minister also suggested that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky should reconsider this issue. According to Mr. Lavrov, the Ukrainian leader is ready to discuss the details of the discussions through the media, even if it is a discussion with the President.America Donald Trump.
Earlier, on April 25, Foreign Minister Lavrov said that the US President “is probably the only leader in the world who recognizes the real causes of the Ukraine crisis.” According to Mr. Lavrov, President Trump believes that an agreement on the Ukraine issue is close, but in reality there are still some details that need to be completed.
Also on April 25, a meeting took place in the Kremlin between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President's special envoy Steve Witkoff. The parties discussed the possibility of resuming direct negotiations between Russian and Ukrainian representatives and narrowing the gap between Moscow's and Washington's positions on many international issues. The meeting lasted 3 hours.
