Russia foils car bomb plot in Crimea
(Baonghean.vn) - RT news agency quoted RIA Novosti news agency as saying that a source told the press agency that a homemade explosive device was discovered. This device was made from parts provided to Ukraine by NATO countries.

Specifically, a security source told RIA Novosti that a vehicle loaded with explosives attempted to enter Crimea, but was stopped by agents of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB). The source added that the bomb was later defused.
The incident occurred at the Dzhankoy Border Gate on the administrative boundary between Crimea and Russia's Kherson region, north of the peninsula, the news agency reported on March 2.
During an inspection of a car driven by a law enforcement officer from the Kherson region, FSB officers discovered “an object resembling an explosive device attached to the floor of the car, under the driver’s seat,” a source said.
The vehicle was quickly moved to a safe location and special forces successfully defused the bomb, the source added.
According to RIA Novosti, experts have determined that the homemade explosive device “was assembled from foreign-made components supplied to Ukraine by NATO countries.”
An investigation has been launched and security agencies are working to identify those involved in the plot, the source said.
