"In 2018, unprecedented pressure was exerted on Russia in the political, diplomatic, international legal, economic, and information fields, with the main goal of forcing Moscow to deny its position in a number of important areas where our presence makes others uncomfortable," said Russian Security Council Assistant Secretary Venediktov.
He believes that the West has shown its commitment to a policy of double standards regarding Russia and its constant efforts to change the internal political situation in Russia.
The Russian Assistant Secretary of the Security Council also emphasized that Russia is preventing the US and its allies from implementing a policy of interfering in the internal affairs of sovereign states, adjusting political and economic architecture to serve their own interests, promoting the rules of the game that these countries themselves have come up with and changing these rules when they find it convenient.
