Pompeo's undiplomatic behavior casts doubt on his view of relations between Russia and the United States as an opportunity for constructive dialogue, Sputnik reported, citing a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Earlier, US Secretary of State Pompeo accused Russia of interfering in Venezuela's affairs without the government's permission, and called President Nicolas Maduro a "former leader" of Venezuela.
The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that "the undiplomatic behavior of the head of the US foreign ministry casts doubt on his other statements, which view Russian-US relations at the respective levels as opportunities for constructive dialogue."
