Russia will deploy more than 100 satellites to control UAVs.
According to a national project, Russia will deploy 102 satellites into space to control unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

According to RIA Novosti, Roscosmos Director Dmitry Bakanov said that Russia will deploy more than 100 satellites into orbit to control unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
"The deployment of a satellite network for the purpose of controlling unmanned aircraft will include 102 satellites and one spacecraft," the Roscosmos director said at the national space exploration project exhibition at the CIPR-2025 conference in Nizhny Novgorod.
The national project also provided for the launch: 886 "Dawn" broadband internet satellites; 114 Earth remote sensing devices.
The head of Roscosmos also noted that the accuracy of the GLONASS navigation system could be improved to tens of centimeters by 2030-2031 with the help of the "Bureau 1440" satellites.
Mr. Bakanov pointed out that the strategic council of Russian President Vladimir Putin will review the national project on June 10th.
The tenth annual conference of the "Digital Industry of Russia" (CIPR) was held in Nizhny Novgorod from June 2nd to 5th. Representatives from more than 30 countries, including major foreign companies, participated in business sessions and exhibitions.
Furthermore, Sergei Chernyshov, Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, stated that in the coming decades, Russia will launch spacecraft into orbit to study outer space across all ranges of electromagnetic radiation, even in places that are completely unimaginable, such as cosmic black holes.
