Russia's policy toward Ukraine, its actions in Syria, and its reconciliation with Türkiye are reflected in President Vladimir Putin's commitment to establishing a new international order around Russia that significantly diminishes American influence.

This is stated in an editorial titled "Putin's Big Game on Three Fronts" published in the Italian newspaper La Stampa.

Analyzing Russia's foreign policy activities in these areas, the author emphasizes that "Putin intends to significantly reduce the influence of the United States."

"In Ukraine, Putin wants to undermine Washington's credibility as the guarantor of Eastern Europe. In Syria, he demonstrates a higher fighting capability in the fight against jihadists compared to the coalition of more than 60 countries led by Obama. In Turkey, he aims to create a rift in Ankara's relationship with NATO," commented an Italian political analyst.

According to the editor-in-chief of La Stampa, Russia has created a unique system of relations with many countries whose political models differ from Western democracies – from Belarus to Türkiye, from Egypt to Iran and the former Soviet republics in Central Asia.

At the same time, Moscow is using various tools, including "energy investment, military presence, and effectively demonstrating Russia's soft power, such as showcasing the popularity of RT television in the Arab world," the article states.
